How should I begin my autobiography?

  • I am just stuck. Can't think of anything, and if I do, it sounds stupid. Please, I seriously need help! My essay is due tomorrow.

    Up to now my life has been a mixture of exictement and boredom. This book focuses mostly around the excitement; who wants to read about boredom?

Start with a simple catchy sentence. Something quirky about what you may have done as a child. Or perhaps a quote, a lesson, that you have learned so far in your life. Or maybe something like "I have forgetton so much more than I can remember, but I will try and fit the pieces together, the jigsaw of my life so far, and perhaps I will remember more along the way." oh we had to write one as well. but we had to basically make it a 20 page assignment i started with, "when i was born, on *insert date here*, i was so surprised i couldn't speak for a year" hehe ;) or you can just go for some quote, which you love, and which has inspired youu! good luck xx
