Florence nightingale?

Florence Nightingale was a woman who began nursing reforms, and took her nurses to look after the wounded soldiers in the Crimean war. She initiated the practices of cleanliness, and brought the career of nursing into the forefront, rather than the bad reputation it had before. I cant remember the dates, this is just what I remember from my nursing training. She was known as "the lady of the lamp".

Also named after the city of Florence were she was born - and is now buried. Her grave is in the most beautiful church.
