What paper do I need to use?

Help! Paper due TOMORROW!!! need help with the use of a word!!!?

  • I'm using the word aid (or aide) and I don't know which one to use. the sentence is: "To help a child brush the best they can, there is an [aid/aide] to help them." So which one do I use. This paper is DUE TOMORROW!!! Please help!!! Thanks

    I hate to tell you, but the answer could be EITHER ONE! Here's why. If you are referring to a person who helps the child brush his/her teeth, you spell it AIDE. If you are referring to some sort of device that helps the child, like a toothbrush, you spell it AID.
