What is a good topic for an argumentative research paper?

  • I'm looking for an interesting and refreshing topic for an argumentative research paper. It is for my English 102 class and needs to be at least 10 pages in length. Again, I'm looking for a refreshing topic which means no abortion, economic crisis, gay marriage, or any other trite topic. Best answer will receive points as soon as the option becomes available. P.S. I don't want to spend weeks doing research and sports bore the crap out of me.

I did a great paper once on animal testing. You could even narrow that and discuss dogfighting or the exotic animal trade (tigers, monkeys, etc. as pets).

I mean there are tons of things you can write about. Just pick one, don't be so picky. If you want to make an impact with your writing, then pick something that really hits close to home.
