What to do to become an independent sales rep for Avon?

What is Avon's wholesale price if I become a rep?

  • I was thinking of becoming a rep for Avon and I'd contacted a local Avon rep, but she and I have been playing phone tag. Does anyone here who sells Avon products know what the discount is for reps? I know what Mary Kay's is. I'm just wondering if there's a minimum you have to buy for each order to get a discount and if there is a discount tier? Also, do you have to order new catalogs all the time or just when you want to?

  • Answer:

My Mary Kay director sold Avon for years and said the discount was not worth the time and effort and switched to Mary Kay . She then was able to quit her job and is driving a free car. What I understand is you get 50% to start but then need to earn that discount by meeting sales quotas. Good luck to you Personally I would rethink it because if you are having this much trouble getting someone to help you to sign up what kind of support will you get once you do?

It depends on the product. Some of the products you make 20 percent and some you don't. you collect your money deposit it into the bank and then you keep what is left over from the earnings you have collected but you don't make an guarnteed 40 percent unless your presidents club. Thats the best I can answer your question. and you have to order new books all the time.

I sell Avon - I'd be glad to help you if you're interested. [email protected] You pay $10 to sign up and then you get 50% profit on your first 5 orders, as long as you sell at least $50 worth. After that, the minimum you make is 20% and that percentage goes up the more you sell. There isn't a minimum order at any time - you just won't get the full 50% in the first 5 if you don't sell $50 - which is easy to do! The brochures come out every 2 weeks and you can use the same ones for up to six weeks, BUT they add new seasonal stuff each time. They are inexpensive and can be bought in packs of 10, so you don't necessarily have to buy tons of them. I buy 50 each time and spend $13. Hope that helps!

Hello, I am a current rep in the NW. I will try to answer your questions as best as possible. Your earnings level (cost of product) depends on how much you sell, and what items you sell. If you sell less than $25 a campaign, there is no discount, you make nothing. Over $25, then it gradually is more based on sales. Typically, there are items that are a 20%, 30% 45% and some 50% margins. You can buy books when you want. You are not required to buy them. You can have an e-store for $7.50 per campaign, but that fee is waived if you have at least 1 sale thru your web store that campaign. I hope that helps!

Hi, I sold Avon products for 3 months, I got doorstopped by a rep and it all sounded pretty good at first, but when I really looked into it and started trying to sell, most of what I made was then forced into reinvesting into buying new catalogues, paper bags and paying for customers who ordered but then failed to pay. It is a pyramid scheme and those who are higher up the chain are making the money and those at the bottom are doing all the work. By the time you have posted a load of catalogues, then tried to chase up people and had to repeatedly knock on doors to get business or your catalogues back, you end up losing out a lot if you pay yourself per hour the minimum wage in woman hours. I walked miles, got several abusive people and made a poxy amount. Don't do it, sell stuff on eBay instead, I made much more by going around charity shops and finding designer clothes and reselling them. Avon is a con and their products aren't much good either, plus they say you can buy samples and send them back if you don't like them but Avon don't like to cough up a refund. The lady that signed me up would ring me repeatedly to see if I made any sales, it was a nightmare. She said I was the only person working the Avon round in my area but I then had THREE Avon catalogues through MY door from girls she had signed up in the same area. Later on, I saw loads of Avon catalogues in recycling boxes from the other girls that had been conned.
