What do u think about e-bay?

• Im wanting to try e-bay out for the first time. i dont have an account with them and i want to start selling things as well as buying things. I have a couple of questions about it. Ok if u want to sell something, how do u go about that, like do u ship the item to e-bay or do u just ship it to the buyer. Also what kind of proff do u furnish if u send it straight to the buyer. Is e-bay real legit, do i have to watch out for people who will try and con me.And also if i want to use my card, do i have to worry anything about that, like having all of my money stolen.   I have been using ebay for over 4 yrs. I mostly sell cd's, books, and dvd's. Like anything else, it has its pros and cons. To sell something, you would ship directly to the buyer. You must specify all shipping details and payment details in your auction listing. If you are just starting, use the sell items tab which will walk you through it. Also, look at other people's listings for similar items to see what they have. It will take a bit of practice. When a person wins your item, they will send payment and you will receive their shipping address to send it to them. Ebay is legit, but you should always be wary in any case. The feedback system works pretty good (numbers by user names). Every time someone completes an honest transaction, you can give them a positive feedback. You only have to watch out for people who try to contact you to make transactions outside of ebay site. As for your money, if you want to use a card, you should also open a paypal account. It is a money transfer site in conjunction with ebay. It is actually the safest way to pay and receive funds for ebay transactions. There are records of all transactions and also buyer protections against items not arriving or arriving damaged. Your best bet is to get on ebay and start buying and selling.
