What are some ways to find out that the job offer is not a scam?

  • I found a receptionist job on craigslist.com. I sent an e-mail with my resume (which is just a typical high school graduate's resume) to the guy who posted the job. He sent me back an e-mail stating, "Thank you for submitting your resume for our receptionist position. We have been getting a lot of applications for this opening, but I am happy to let you know that I have reviewed your resume and it looks good." The e-mail also comes with a website: http://vannesto.com/index.php, which doesn't look impressive at all. I'm thinking it's either a new company or a joke. What do you think? How do I find out if it's legitimate.
