What makes you purchase a magazine? Is it the colors,price,cover model, celebrity or other?

Front cover is what makes me first determine whether I will pick up the magazine. Then it is the content. If the information is useful or interesting, I will buy it.

At times when i purchase a magazine it would be because i see a celebrity i like. At other times it would be the small articles that have reasonable info. about some actor/actress. Sometimes the colors and the way the cover page is displayed also plays a role. Oh, and those catchy titles....yah..

content, quality of print and paper, great design and good ads. whatever makes me want to keep it in my mag collection.

First, it's the cover model. Then it's the contents. The most crucial is of course the price. If it's reasonably priced, I'll buy it.

"make [me] purchase"? C'mon I thought I was making a choice based upon a calculated decision. Hmmm. If I was wrong then maybe I didn't realize what it was that "made me" buy. I have bought magazines because they are germaine to my profession, so I guess that the topic was important. I don't recall a celebrity on the cover, but maybe I just didn't know them but they rarely look like they've been exposed to 2400 degrees of heat for three days, so I don't know why I would care about them. The colors are interesting, but I already know how to make the colors. The price has always increased over the years so what can I do about that? The price of my pottery hasn't increased accordinly, I guess. Well thanks for your asking. I hope that spending 5 points on this question was a good investment. Later.
