How to get a free website....???

  • i am starting my own business and would like to create a free website for now and hopefully get a professional one later once i start making profits... i want people to know about my business... so how do i design a free website and how do i promote it to potential customers?? thanks for your help

    Free hosting is ad supported so you will have a few ads on your site. If that's okay with you then I would recommend a free hosting site that lets you use your own domain name if you can afford the $10 a year for the registration. http://www.dakotawebhosting.com gives you free ad supported hosting with a domain registration.

hi, get free domain, hosting, domain emails, web design tools and more with Microsoft's office live programme. i used it to get my own business on the web, and it has given my business a new lease of life! you can make it as professional as you want without needing any web design knowledge. you have nothing to lose... http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/officelive/default.aspx and once you have it set up add it to relevant online directories, add a free listing on yell.com, put the web address on all your stationary, perhaps set up a competition where people have to register their details on your site - then as well as getting people to your site you also get potential customers' contact details. you can then start an email marketing campaign to keep reminding them about what you offer. hope this gives you some ideas - and the office live programme is great, try it and you will see.
