What is the best way to get clients to train?

  Advertise on sites like craigslist, let EVERYONE YOU KNOW know that you're going to be offering personal training, create a website and get it listed on google. Vistaprint.com has AMAZING tools for starting a business, everything from a website builder to free business cards to customized magnets. You could put an ad in the paper, get yourself listed in the phone book, hand out business cards to every single person you see. If there's a yoga studio or health food store in your area set up a mutual referral system with them or just ask these businesses if you could put a stack of your business cards or flyers on their counter. Contact your local radio or television station and place a commercial. Create a facebook page and ad everyone you can find in your area. Youtube is possibly the best site for free advertisement. If you have some spare time, create instructional videos like a How To Begin Strength Training series. Keep them simple and to the point, a five video series of 2-3 minute videos is great. Make sure you have your business name, phone number, email address and website in each video and on your profile. Then ad everyone you can find that lives in your area. A great way to hook clients is to offer the first session free and/or a refer a friend program. Ex. For every friend your client refers, both the client and the friend get a free session.
