Help! My boyfriend is smoking behind my back?

How do I help my boyfriend stop smoking or realize its me or the cigarettes?

  • I need help. My boyfriend is still smoking when ever his friend Justin is around. Justin lets him smoke one of his ciggarettes and its only when he's around. Im hurting really bad because he knows i dont like it and since that hes doing it behind my back or when im not around so i dont see him do it and sometimes still in front of me no matter what it is even when im not there it still hurts me when i think or know hes doing it. i dont know what to do. I love and care about him deeply, weve been together for 2 whole years so im not ever wanting to break up with him just cuz of a bad habit, i want to see if i can make him realize its the ciggarettes, or his girl. I thought about letting his mom be aware of it cuz his mom doesnt like Justin, nor do but i think thatd be wrong. I want to sit him down and talk to him. I need some things to say.

    simply tell him the truth. that you love him to death, and always will but that he needs to make a decision either to stop smoking or lose his girlfriend, and that the decision lies simply in his hands and actions. really, him stopping smoking is a health advantage so, by you making him quit would be a positive for the both of you.. so you dont have to make it sound like its all about you, and you wanting him to quit. just a thought. hahah.. good luck.

i think he will be better of without you what will be the next ultamation if you get to fat i will go i smoked for 40 years my wife didnot like it dut she never gave me a ultimation

A couple of cigarettes when his friend comes around? I think it's you that needs to change, not him. You yourself said you don't see him do it everytime, and yet it still effects you because you choose to let it. Well, knock it off. Smoking may be disgusting to you, but it's his choice and if you're not even there when he does it. Ultimatums are NEVER the way to go, unless it's time for intervention, and this is clearly not a case where intervention is needed.

tell him hes going to rehab. he quits cold turkey (anything is possible if they have enough will power) or you leave.. because if he doesnt want to stop, HE WONT. no amount of rehab will help unless he is willing to change.. good luck. pray about it. let him know how you feel. God Bless
