What part of a boat, beside the back or stern, does a boat motor attach to? My teacher says their is a specific term for that part, but he will not just tell us the answer. Thank you.

If you are talking about an outboard engine the answer is: transom. However, to be a complete boat geek the I/O and inboard engines are actually mounted inside the boat to the stringers. Use transom, it will work.
