What is my motor worth?

I have a Johson Sea Horse outboard motor made 1946-49 Td2 0 runs great what"s it worth?

  • My dad bought this motor 20 years ago it ran but nobody used it untill a week ago. I pulled it out of the basement and fill it full of fuel two hours later i found out how to start it. Runs great is it a antique

  • Answer:

I agree. Very common old motor. Not much antique value. A fair bit of service value, though, if it is shown to be a running motor. It qualifies as an antique according to the Antique Outboard Motor Club's guidelines (made prior to 1950). Running ones often go unsold at swap meets for $100. Might be able to get that much through Craigslist for someone looking for a running kicker...

They are not worth a lot of money, they made a lot of them. I would keep it in the family.
