Answer:
If $400 is your budget you can try searching used boat sites that let you specify a max price. Powerboats: http://www.used-power-boat-sale.com/[email protected]&maxp=400.00 Fishing boats: http://www.used-fishing-boat-sale.com/search.aspx?condition=Used&[email protected]&maxp=400.00 I'd try to stay local though to keep from having to go too far to pick it up. Just enter your zip code at either of those links to see the boats closest to you. If nothing else, searching those types of sites will give you an idea of what is selling and for how much.

when it comes to outboards, chrysler is one of the worst. especially today when parts are HARD to come by. if its not in perfect running condition today, it wont ever be again. when its no longer in perfect running condition, its JUNK. and 69 is OLD for a boat. alum hull, maybe. if its clean and dent free, if an hour on the lake doesnt have it filling with water. alum can last practically forever, alum can outlast a good outboard (30+ years) and maybe even the replacement (another 30+ years). but a 69 hull is already 40 years old...... if its fiberglass, its JUNK already. fiberglass boats use wood for the structrual strength. get wood wet (impossible to avoid in a boat) and it starts to rot and weaken. short of an entire new hull, you cant truly repair them. i'm sure you've seen an OLD wood fence or porch....... if its alum, and you dont mind making the dump run (soon if not immeditaely) with the outboards, $400 for a clean alum boat that can handle 60+ hp isnt a bad price at all. but expect to buying a new outboard, and expect a 60 hp 4 stroke to run over $7,000 installed (trust me on that one, my 84 hull is wearing a 2011 merc 60 hp 4 stroke now). might be better to spend $1,000 on a similiar 80's alum hull with a still running outboard of better make on it. only reason my boat has a new outboard already is the old one was old when the boat was new. johnson, would still be running it if they made a $120 part still......

Thing is dude. If you buy this boat, dont pitch the chryslers. They are worth alot of money to someone. Just for parts if nothing else.
