Just 2 quick questions about online boating exams?

  • Hello :) I'm new to the world of boats & such, and I'm going to be getting my boating license online. But I have a two questions.. I'm taking it at www.BoaterExam.com/canada As I was reading the "three step process", step number 2 said "Supervisor Registration". Who must "supervise" exactly? And what are the questions like? Are they multiple choice?

    Different sites call the supervisor by different names, "administrator", "proctor", etc. This person cannot be a family member, and must be of legal age of majority in your province. Basically anyone you can get to register can be a supervisor. They are there to ensure that you don't cheat, and the exam is sent to their email address. The exam itself is 36 multiple choice questions. If you are having trouble finding a supervisor, look on craigslist or kijiji for supervisors already registered in your area. If you haven't already paid, try http://www.theoperatorcard.ca/ , it's 10 bucks cheaper.
