How do I get a cheap sailboat?

How much would it cost to get sailboat built? Like by someone like: Allures, or Alden?

  the unfortunate reality today is, for a top end boat like an Alden or Little Harbor or Swan, the price is somewhere around 10,000 a foot, or $450,000 for a 45 footer new. Now included in that new price is a lot of advertising and yacht broker fees; an older version of one of these boats can be had for 250-300,000. Now there are plenty of really good sea worthy older 'glass boats out there; a little hunting around when the time comes and you can find a 40 footer for maybe 40-75,000. Or what you can do what I did in my 20's...buy a beat old boat for cheap, fix it up sell it buy a slightly less beat boat fix it up sell it........until you get the boat you want and a whole load of experience and skills along the way. So start saving your nickels and dimes, sail on a wide variety of boats every chance you get, read Sailing and Sail and Cruising World magazines and don't stop dreaming!!!!
