I want to buy a later 1990's bowrider ski boat. What are the best boat brands to consider?

Smoker Craft is a nice outfit. I has one and I loved it. The one I had was alumina 16 foot with an 85 mec on it. Nice boat for skiing, fishing, and moonlight riding.

never buy a boat as an investment. find ANY brand that has the equipment you need and is in pretty good shape and fits your budget. BOAT...Bring On Another Thousand.

I look at these purchases as investments. It's a good thing to buy a boat and when you are ready to trade up, when you sell it, you get your money back. So, you can find good deal, or find a roughed up boat and fix it, so it's desirable again. It is also, somewhat similar to buying a car. If you get a saturn, it will depreciate a lot. Compare it to Honda or Mercedes, it will hold the value better. In my opinion, to extend this comparison to boats, the hondas and mercedeses would be Correct Craft or Sea Ray. But opinions vary. You can go to NADA boat values website and research boat prices that come to your mind (compare values of used and new, and see the depreciation). Best of luck!
