fuel /oil mixture ratio for 1988 Evinrude E90TLCCA outboard motor 90 hp
-
Answer:
1988 Evinrude 90 is equipped with VRO (variable ratio oil injection). There is no need to pre-mix the fuel. Use a good quality TCW-3 two stoke oil in the oil reservoir, and 87 octane gasoline in the fuel tank. Avoid using ethanol blends in an outboard of this age if you can, as it may deteriorate fuel lines, gaskets and diaphragms. If the VRO pump has failed, or has been disconnected for some reason, you can run 50:1 pre-mix (1 pint of oil to 6 gallons of gasoline), but the real fix is to replace the faulty pump.
