How to obtain railway reservation ticket individually through the Internet?

  Ok. First go to www.irctc.co.in and register yourself as a new user. Then, clixk on Plan my travel. In case you login in freshly, this page loads up automatically. In plan my travel, Choose the source and destination stations. Just type the first three letters of the station name and choose the station from the list that appears. then choose the date of travel, and class of travel like sleeper,etc. All are mentioned there itself. Then click on e-ticket. After that, click on find trains. Choose the train that suits your timing requirement and click on book ticket. It will prompt you to give details like name of passenger, preferred birth etc. Then on proceeding, u get a page asking for which bank u will be using and which type, like debit or credit. Click on respective bank and u will be guided to the bank's site where u can login like u do in net banking. then click on confirm payment by choosing ur account(if u hav more that 1 account in the same bank). You will receive the page showing the ERS(Electronic Reservation Slip) which u will have to take a print out of. Also u r required to carry a proof of identity along with the ERS during travel.
