How many blue Indian railway trains are available?

Should indian railway increase the no. of trains?

  • I started booking for the January holidays. (exactly 90 days from today) But at 8.30 all the trains are already booked. should our govenment consider to increase the no. of trains?

i dont think so we r lacking in trains for sure! i guess the govt. now should come up with faster engines so that the time taken is decreased! and few more trains could help too.. cause if we are to travel to kolkata there are more than 25 stops.. which makes it a local train!!:D:D:D

No, Indian railways is not able to increase the number of trains, as the necessary infrastructure to run more trains on the same tracks is not there, and without that it is impossible to handle more load on the tracks. Moreover the trains are according to the annual average of passengers traveling through railways. And most of the people are thinking only on festival seasons, and moreover Indian railways always start some special trains on festival seasons.

hey instead of increasing the no of train the govt. should increase the no of boogies in the train. cause increasing the no of train will only result in increasing the railway traffic....
