Whats a good research topic for a paper on India?

  • I am writing a research paper on India. The guidelines are broad. Meaning i can wright about anything be it a current issues/ events, famous people past and present and culture. However I don't want to write about the usual stuff like Gandhi, Nehru and the caste system. I need an interesting topic to write about and research. I was hoping someone out there could suggest some ideas or send me some links. Thank you in advance.

    It will be better if you write on topics " Using, Developing and Researching on own resources" for the development of a country. In the eyes of the world India is a poor, most corrupted and political battle field type country. Still now 80% Indians spend a little amount of Rs. 30 to 40 as their daily living. Our own and rich resources are smuggled, violated or sold for the sake of rising politically by the so-called Rulers of Delhi. The reasons are endless. You will be suffocated if you try to analyze. We know "Pen is mighter than Sword". If your pen could change the view of India......Pl. write on these issues.

How about current politics? India is the world's largest democracy yet two of it's states have communist governments. Talk about how that works as well as the many political parties within the country, the current push to create a new state in the South.
