Hows the weather in India in August?
-
I am planning to go to India in August. How is the weather there in the month of August? I know its Monsoon season. Hows the weather in northern parts of India, like in Haryana and Punjab? Is it constantly raining? Does it ever stop? Is it hard or light rain? Will you ever get sunny days? How hot will it be? Is it dangerous to be outside? Answers appreciated, thanks.

Answer:
Last year, there was so much rain in July to mid of August. But we can't predict anything. This year the rain started from the mid of June. August is not so warm. Because cool air and cloudy atmosphere makes the great. Today, the sky is covered with clouds, but there is no rain. But, there are some areas in Punjab and Haryana where foods comes each year. So, if you want to visit then visit after monsoon. I think September, October, November are the best months.

You can look up any part of the world's weather at weather.com Just type in the location in the search bar and you can look up the weather anywhere in the world. It won't give any exact temperatures because August is still a long ways a way but it will give averages. And you can change the temperature from Farenheit to Centigrade or vice versa if you want. Hope this helps.

It will be HOT! The wheather is usually around 80-100 degrees Fahrenheit. It doesn't rain often maybe a few times every 3 weeks but when it does rain it rains alot! The rain is often hard. When I was there I never experienced light rain. And sometimes it is dangerous to go outside. Keep children with you at all times. If you are caucasion people will automatically think you are rich and cheat you out of everything you buy. Also, do not wear expensive jewelry outside because they're alot of thieves with guns!
y so random
As you rightly guessed, August is the monsoon season in India. But the regions you have mentioned like Haryana and Punjab have lesser rains than in the South West part of the country. You could have occasional heavy rain but most often light showers. There could be sunny days intermittently. Likely to be warm if there is no rain and also quite humid. Its not dangerous to be outside at all....everyone in India goes on with life as usual even when there are heavy rains....except of course if there has been an unusually heavy downpour causing floods. Yes, it could be dangerous travelling to mountains though, because there could be landslides and your journey could take longer than usual. Its best to stick to the plains and cities during this season.
