Which is the best hotel in Jaisalmer?

How should we travel to Jaisalmer, Rajasthan?

• Hi, We are a group of 4 girls, travelling to Jaisalmer from Delhi. If we go by deluxe bus and stay in a budget hotel what will be the total stay cost? I have a budget of 2500rs is it too less and is it safe for 4 girls to travel by bus? How long should the trip be? Are 3 days enough?

  the round trip bus tickets will cost more than your budget alone. You can find some decent rooms for around Rs 200-300 in Jaisalmer. Then factor in food, cost to enter some sightseeing locations, any other pick up items you want to purchase, and your Rs 2500 will not last long. You can take an A/C bus from Delhi to Jaipur for as low as Rs 368, volvo will run closer to Rs 648. Then from Jaipur to Jaisalmer the only option is a volvo for Rs 997. That's all one way. 4 girls on a bus is plenty safe. 3 days once you factor in travel will leave you with one day of sightseeing in Jaisalmer. Depending on what your interests are, this could be plenty but you really need 2-3 good days to take in the city.
