hi i live in pune,india i am planning to purchase a laptop dell xps 17 INCH 3D from dell.com it costs around $1200 i.e 57000 INR. AND IF I purchase this laptop from dell india it cost 87000 INR. SHIPPING to india cost $120 . that means total cost 63000 INR. SO MY DEAR FRDS TELL ME IS IT SAFE TO SHIP THIS LAPTOP TI INDIA OR UNSAFE. TELL ME GOOD SHIPPING SERVICES COMPANIES ALSO PLZZZZZZZ

shipment is not your headache- If your order/payments are accepted by them, its their botheration. Safer bet would be to catch some one returning from there to carry it for you.

You haven't factored customs fees into this equation. I'm not sure how much this will run however I can assure you Dell will not mark this as a gift to avoid the tax. I have used the US Postal Service and UPS for shipments to IN. Both have worked well.
