How has Pakistan managed to continuously be a "truly formidable rival" to its neighbor India(plz read details)?

I hope you have seen WWF (now may be renamed as WWE) games where sometimes there are lopsided contestants fighting each others badly. We know that some of these are for the TV audience's consumption, but who wants to lose the game. Pakistan and India are also fighting each others in above mentioned fashion, where the audience is their own people who would applaud when their respective wrestler is beating opponents. You would sometimes find that the opponent is so much bloodied in the fight that stretcher is sent to carry him out of the wrestling arena. In this case, Pakistan is waiting for the stretcher to come and take it to hospital since the war in all fronts (at border, at diplomatic level, at intellectual level, at the ratio of GNP & GDP etc) are being won singularly by the Indians. I'm not a fan of India as such since its successive politicians has cowed down my country Bangladesh under this or that pretext. But the fact is that, India remained at very high level of respect among the community of nations than what Pakistan could achieve with its belligerent attitude. So what is the point of being a "truly formidable rival" when you have to live your life under constant insecurity, as that has been happening in present days Pakistan? Btw, as a Muslim it should have been my pride to see Pakistan shinning better than India, but we had been brutally treated by the Pakistanis when we were part of Pakistan till 1971.
