Which National Park in India is in the midst of a very large lake?

How you view it about "GLENMORGAN" a beautiful tourist spot near "OOTY" in Nilgiris,Tamil Nadu, India?

• Ooty or Udhagamandalam is famous for its beauty being a hill station. But most of the tourists go there visit Botanical Gardens, Lake, Sims Park at Coonoor, Mudhumalai Wild Life Sanctuary and maximum to the Frog Rock on Mysore Highway. Have anybody in our Group ever visited "GLEN MORGAN", a small village nearby Ooty, where a steep hill to the depth of 250 metres is situated,with so much scenic beauties, through which Tamil Nadu Electricity Board has installed huge iron pipes to generate hydel energy. Along with with these pipes, a lift with a capacity of carrying only 4 persons at a time is in operation. Going through this lift, you can feel the real chillness in your backbone, such a fantastic experience. Last week I happened to visit this place and felt the real adventure, which I have not even seen in Leh, Kargil & Siachen of J&K areas. If anybody of our esteemed group visited this Glen Morgan area, I want to know their expereince.

  You are very correct. People who visit Otty generally visit the Botanical Gardens, Lake, Coonoor, Mudhumalai etc. only but do not visit some beautiful places in the surroundings. One such place is Gelnmorgan, which I visited a decade ago with my family and stayed there for 4/5 days in the Tea Estate, where my cousin brother was working. If he was not there, I also would not have ventured to visit the place when we normally visit Otty. Glenmorgan Tea Estates is owned by Glenmorgan Tea Estates. This Estate is famous for tea plantations and production of particular variety of tea called Chunmee tea meaning Eyebrow. The leaf resembles an eyebrow and that is why they got the name. It is famous for its flavor. This tea is produced at Glenmorgon and some other Estates in Otty area only. Glenmorgon estate is one of the oldest estates here. This place is 32 kms away from Otty and it is near Singadra power station of Pycara Power Eclectic Power co. There is a beautiful lake near this tea estate and Singadra. Here the Haulage rope way is in operation to go to the Power station. The experience of going by this rope way was enchanting with the full greenery and scenic beauty. The Incline near the Glermorgan point is very perpendicular and this distance of half a kilometer has difficult ascent and descent. The total haulage rope system is about 3 kms and we had a thrilling experience. Glenmorgan is a beautiful picnic spot also, and people in group visit this place Electricity Board and also for other visitors. -
