Well Bro,, Just 5 Days isn't enough to enjoy Goa in its totally. But still let me try to make your trip as enjoyable as possible. Please find below my point wise suggestions to your points. 1.) I will advise you to visit Goa by Konkan Railway because travel by Konkan Railway is an experience by itself (Google for Konkan railway for beautiful scenic snaps of Konkan Ghats and Valleys). So you can drop at Panaji, the capital city of Goa. Because Panaji is a place where you can easily get all sorts of transport facilities to go to each and every place in Goa. I suggest you hire a full time Cab for all 5 days. But don't forget to negotiate on price. SO I ADVISE YOU TO GET YOUR STAY AT PANAJI. 2.) In Goa the price of Hotels depend only upon during which Season you visit. If you visit during off seasons even Victor Exotica in Candolim is a affordable hotel. But during Pick Tourist Season even a small lodge will be costly to you. So don't prefer Cheap Hotels. Instead prefer hotel in good locality because Goa is well famous for Illegal activities like Prostitution, Drug trafficing, etc. You may consult your travel agent for this. Or search on makemytrip.com for affordable hotels. I personally advice you to stay at Victor Exotica Resort at Candolim (If you are not staying at Panaji) 3.) So far as beaches are concerned, Goa is blessed with world's one of the best beaches. But to name a few there is Calangute Beach, Baga Beach, Palolem Beach, Vagator Beach, Anjuna Beach, Cavalossim Beach, etc. etc. However, be careful in selection of beach for your preference. If you want to swim and enjoy your leisure then Baga Beach is your Best of the Best preference. Because Public and safety both are very good here. And if you just want to hang around visit Vagator beach or Cavalossim Beach. 4.) In Goa, you can visit Panaji City for shopping, especially for Kaju shopping. There are some very beautiful Churches around Panaji. One of the oldest Churches where the dead body of Sir Fransis Xavier is kept is hardly few Kilometers away from Panaji. Apart from this Tittos Disco Club at Calangute is a Must Visit Place. Other Places such as Mangesh Temple, Local Boat Cruise ride in Panaji, etc. 5.) All the beaches and places are well connected through Roads, So Taxi would be the best solution. 6.) At Calangute Beach, and Baga Beach you will get all sorts of water sports such as Banana Boat Ride, Para Sailing tied up on a Boat, Sea Scooter, Yatching, etc. However you may also google for "Places to Visit in Goa" for further details.
