I am unable to go to Bangalore...where should I go now...Pune or Mumbai ?

Hi... I am a software engineer (fresher)....i have good command over asp .net...but beacause of some reasons I am unable to go to Bangalore in search of job...where should I go now...Mumbai or Pune Thanx in advance :)

Mumbai has probably more jobs being a bigger city. Don't know much about Pune's software belt though. Mumbai has the SEEPZ and Mindspace and apart from it so many pockets of software industries and consultancy firms. If you are not familiar with Mumbai, it may be difficult for you to locate these. However, the opportunites in Mumbai are vast compared to Pune.

For a fresher Pune is much better option. The new Hinjewadi IT Park is big enough employing more than 3,00,000 IT professionals...it's expanding everyday.... will add another lakh or so in next year....Then there are other pockets also like Magarpatta/Hadapsar Area,...Kalyani Nagar Area....Baner...and Pune IT Park at Aundh. Pune is also more affordable for a fresher. In Mumbai...it's good for experienced ppl...higher salary with experience justifies the cost of living....else you will end up staying in a Chawl (Jhoparpatti) with the salary you will get as a fresher in Mumbai
