Can I park my car over night at Bridgewater state college campus train station?

Is there a safe place to park my car for 3 days in Neral station so that I can take the toy train to Matheran?

  • I am travelling from Mumbai to Matheran by own car. I intend to park my car near Neral station and take the toy train to Matheran. I want to know is there a safe place available in or around Neral station to park my car for 3 days.

    There are several private car parking lots in Neral. These are safe - but do not keep anything valuable in your car + check all doors etc are properly locked, while you leave. If you can drive till Dasturi on Matheran road, park your car there. It is nearer to Matheran ( hardly 3 kms away ) and it is well looked after parking lot. You need to negotiate sharp upward bends on the narrow road to reach Dasturi - it's ghats sections with curves. Wish you worry free holidays!
