Where to keep luggage in Mumbai International airport?

Travelling from London Heathrow to ahmedabad airport via Mumbai Airport?

• hi, i am travelling to ahmedabad from london heathrow and i booked flight with kingfisher airlines. As my flight is via mumbai where there is a 8hr hold, i wanted to know that when i travel from london heathrow to mumbai, will i need to pick up my checked luggage from international mumbai airport and transfer it to domestic airport or will the luggage meet me at the final destination at ahmedabad. If the transfer at mumbai airport is invloved then can you explain how to do so. thanks

  You check with Kingfisher at Heathrow to be sure but i think you will have to get your own luggage and go to the far end of the terminal to get a free transfer bus.Go to the other terminal once you have got your bags because they can be a bit slow getting you there.You can get food and drink but they only take rupees.You will get 10 or 12 rps more to the £ in India (not in the airport).I Had almost 4 hours to change terminals and missed the flight,just waiting for luggage and transfer bus,7 people off same flight missed it and we had to buy new tickets on another airline, still waiting for refund from last November.
