Traveling to Gangtok and Darjeeling.?

hii all.. am planning to visit Gangtok this march. But am not sure about darjeeling as someone suggested me to not visit darjeeling and advised to visit Lachung rather. Can you guys please help me to decide as i also want to know about the facts of Darjeeling Toy Train. Is it worth travelling to darjeeling or there are better options available. Also please give me suggestions regarding hiring taxies. Contact Numbers if possible. Thanks... ...

the only thing worth seeing in darjeeling is the tea gardens and tiger hills and shopping from where you can see mount everest and kanchenjunga can stay for a day in darjeeling but personally i think gangtok and sikkim have more to offer

Discard Darjeeling and visit Lava -Lolegaon ,Gangtok Just hire a taxi from New Jalpaiguri Railway station for 4 days at Rs 5 per km for total distance 250 km and Rs 150 per day detention charges and you will enjoy the entire trip
