Cost of Living in Bangalore with respect to Hyderabad?

  • Currently staying in hyderabad in IT firm.Recent time got an offer in Bangalore so planning to move to Bangalore need information on the Cost of Living in Bangalore for simple living as i be in Hyderabad. How much it will charge per month in Bangalore for the following things: 1) Room and PG for month (good one) 2) Food. (Andhra Food). 3) Transportation (Marthalli - ITPL). 4) Internet/T.V/Entertainment(other's).

    overall cost of living is partially higher (for bachelors) 1.0 room.&PG ..... 20 to 25% costlier 2.0 food : for bachelors , it is the same or marginally more ( if you opt for PG accommodation with inbuilt tiffin, lunch and dinner it will not make much difference only 20 to25% more as above) you will not get a-la-carte food packets which you get in hyderabad particularly like kukatpally ameerpet/ SR nagar etc where you can buy one to two items as required like rice/curry/sambar/ pappu etc separately for say Rs 10/- this is not available in Bangalore) 3.0transportation ... it is the same 4.0internet/Tv ... it is the same overall it is almost the same for the bachelors , but , it is not good for family as the food items are costlier like rice 30/- in hyd cost 33 to 35 in b'lore similar is the case with vegetables(no rytubazaars) pulses etc

more than hyderabad......PG.....varies upon their facilities......a good one can get for 8,000/- onwards...vth single sharing....wi-fi , a/c...etc....we can get andhra food in marthalli and its ok.....number of buses are there so no problem.....in marthalli no. of telugu people are here.....so u can easily....stay here.....but dont compare with hyderabad....

Hi, Good that you are coming to bangalore, though obviously bangalore is costly in few things but not in the ones that come across basic needs of life. I will explain them later, first for your answer 1) Room and PG for month (good one) Good one.. Furnished in Marathalli to ITPL will be 4k to 5k in a multi-amenties apartment society 6k to 8k for a 1BHK if you want to live alone (I won't recommend that) Unfurnished will be cheaper.. 3200 to 3800 also 2) Food. (Andhra Food). Cheap.. Same rate as in Hyd 3) Transportation (Marthalli - ITPL) Good A/C buses charge around 30 one side.. Normal buses for 20 4) Internet/T.V/Entertainment(other's). Airtel 999 for Internet, 300 for TV (to be shared with house mates) Hotels and Pubs are costly as they charge more for North Indian food, Petrol is 74Rs/Litre but weather and lifestyle will be very good. All in all you can add some 3k to 5k hardly in your monthly expenditures as you will find yourself shopping more in Bangalore, believe me :-)

banglore is very very expensive than hyderabad. Simply we can say that both cities are not comparable. 1.in living u will required approx. 1.5 times that of hyderabad. 2. For food i dont know 3.for transportation.please let it be. If u have a habbit of travelling through city bus in hyd. Then u will find how costly bus transport in banglore is. Sometimes ur ticket for single person may reach upto 35 rs(non ac).depends on the distance. Autos are also expensive but no much difference between cabs rates. 4. Internet is same. But theatres r more expensive

PG: 3000 and above depending on location. Food : Same as Hyderabad Transportation : Slightly expensive, 10-20% depending on mode of travel Internet/TV: Same as Hyderabad
