Road trip from Delhi to bangalore?

Hi, I am planning to drive by car from delhi to bangalore. I haven't traveled on such a long route ever and therefore am a bit skeptical on which route to take and how to plan my travel. Has anybody ever drove from delhi to bangalore? I checked on mapmyindia.com and found two routes: 1. via agra>nagpur>hyd>bangalore 2. via jaipur>mumbai>bangalore The agra route (which goes via MP) is about 2050 kms and the jaipur route is a bit longer - about 2400 kms. I am not sure how good the roads are through MP and how safe it is? I am planning to travel during the day, but I guess I can put up somewhere around 10 hrs of drive per day (excluding 2-3 hrs of rest in between for lunch and tea). so, a total of 12-13 hrs before I halt for the night. Do you think this is possible? I have a Maruti Swift and driving this car has been a very comfortable experience. please share your experiences with me. It would greatly help me in planning my trip. Driving to Bangalore from Delhi on a car, particularly alone, has never been a good experience among my acquaintances, though I have never done this myself. Driving through Central India at times become a nightmare for fun drivers. Yet you may have something different to experience! The two routes you mentioned are the popular ones among commercial vehicle drivers. the shorter route is NH7 I think.....good roads till Jhansi...Gwalior and NH7 is fine....I think the other route would have better roads all through
