Separate rupees for India and Nepal?

How to route a 6 month trip to (most of India, and Nepal) for climate, and visa.?

  • Hi everyone, i am thinking about a route that fits with the regional climate (+ the restrictions of double entry visa, and Nepal). I will explain everything, and then I hope for your opinion. I will arrive to India, Chennai around January 8. I have divided the trip into 3 parts -2.5 months South India -2 months Nepal (because of the rule to stay out for 2 months) -1.5 months, North India (Himalaya) From Chennai, I will begin traveling south around Tamil nadu, mammalapuram, pondicherry, thanjavur, trichy, madurai, etc.. and then crossing to Kerala, up the coast to Goa I don't know how many week I will spend in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Goa, but I guess (4-6 weeks)? Ok so now, it February, and from Goa, i should go to Karnakata (kaduga, mangalore, hampi, etc). Next is Andra pradesh (hyderabad) Then I should go to Rajastan (because in March, it's comfortable weather). From Hyderabad, to Rajastan, quickest way is to maharashtra (but i will not go to to Mumbai, but I am interested in khajuraho, pachmarhi, mandu (in Madhya pradesh). Arrive rajastan (March): jaisalmer, udaipur, jhodpur, from rajastan, to Dehli (via uttarpradesh: agra, fatehpur) dehli (and to nepal, by road) When i go to Nepal, i think it should be in late March, lets' say March 20 so the first part (North India, need 2.5 months) - January 8-March20 NEPAL (March 20-May20, because, of the rule 2 months, which is actually a problem for me, because I only want to visit Nepal for 1 month), i want the extra time in India. (i must stay in Nepa at least 2 months, because i have should have a double entry visa), and I know the best 2months in Nepal for climate are March/April, in March i am still in India, and May is becoming hot in Nepal). This is a problem. exit Nepal to Kakarbhitta border to Sikkim back to INDIA (MAY20-JULY5) sikkim: to west bengal hills: (back to dehli, via bihar, uttarpradesh) from dehli, to uttarkhand: joshimath flower valley (ghangaria), muossorie, dhanoltri, nainital, and then to himachal: prospect hill, kullu valley, prashar lake (mandi), malana, kinnaur valley, sangla, kalpa, spiti, ki gompa, tabo gompa, pir panjal, kang la, rohtang la, miyar valley, miyar glacier, dharamkot, naddi (above dal lake), dalhousie, kuari pass, phalut, Kasauli, Musoorie, Nainital, Auli, 1) Manali to Leh route, stopover in keylong if open or 2) to Ladakh (via Kinnau, Spiti, Lauhal). kashmir: lamayuru gompa, thgiksey gompa (roof), nubra valley, khardung la, pangong tso (tangtse), zanksar valley, kargil to srinigar, takhte soleiman, (back to dehli) for beginning of July (because of flight). Exit India. The North India part (May20-July5) is the last part, because of nice weather in Himalaya. So, that's it, the trip is January8-July5 (6 months double entry visa, including 2 month in Nepal). What do you think?

  • Answer:

By the time you get back to North India, it'll be very hot here at 45 degrees C. Better tour this region during the time you've reserved for South India, as temperatures there(South) don't normally exceed 35 degrees C, being regulated by sea. Winter and spring are the best seasons to visit North India, unlike South which is 'evergreen' and doesn't change much through the year!
