Chennai To Pune - Solo bike trip - Need Help?

  • I have Yamaha Fazer bought 1 year back. I am living in Chennai (Thiruvanmiyur). I have to move permanently to Pune and I thought of driving my bike because i hate the govt formalities for train transfer. I am thinking to go via bangalore. Please suggest me good route (route to bipass blore will be good) I am thinking to start early in morning and take stay in hubli at night.... I have travelled 400 km in one day upto today.

    buddy my advice, don't take risk. better send the bike through train, its easy procedure. Take the bike with necessary copies of the document to central station and pay necessary fees to station master. Wrap the bike with jute bag.

Chennai Krashnagiri Hosur Catch Banglore pune National highway 4 Entire road is excellent and complete 4 lane. distance around 1100+ KM I drive by my swift and it took 18Hr to reach from pune to Chennai. avoid Banglore to hubli in night theree heavy truck traffic. By'd way if you are adventures then it’s fine but you are Drivingg only to avoid govt formalities of Transferr then don’t drive. It’s very simple toTransferr bike from chennai to pune no one will ask you a single question. Go to Chennai central and at front side you have luggage counter go there with your bike (police will allow if you tell them that you come for bike trasfer) Agent there will take some where 1500 to 2000Rs (up to u how much u can bargain) This include freight, police commission and a local tickit of same day train so that your bike will be loaded same day only. (you do bargain saying all formalities will be handled by agent) U just need a xerox copy of bike paper and your licence and insurance so carry them with u and don’t worry about any other doc (does’t matter u have NOC or not) Pune station you needs to pay 200-300 (if you don't have NOC) and say them that u just come for small duration. Byd way if your bike is Chennai number and if moving permanent then better to take NOC and register bike in pune as soom as possible (noc valid for 6 months only)
