I need some help with Tamil?
-
My mother tongue is Telugu so obviously I speak fluent. I can't speak Hindi fluently because I never talked with anybody before. But I have seen films for past 10-12 years with subtitles so I do understand words in Hindi but just cant speak fluently with a native-speaker. For past 2 months, I've been trying to learn Tamil. I love watching Tamil movies (especially Rajni, Kamal Haasan, Surya, Karthi, Arya, Dhanush movies) and when I watch them, I can understand a good 50-60% of what is being said cuz Telugu sounds very similar. I do have a few questions if any native or fluent speaker can answer. 1. How do you say 'learn or I am learning' ? In Telugu, we say "nerchuko". In Hindi, I believe its "seek raho" (not sure). Even though I've been to numerous sites, I cant find that one term "LEARN". 2. Translate following terms: grandson granddaughter family village from (In Telugu we say "nunchi/nundi", In Hindi, its "se" as in "dil se (from the heart)") 3. Is there is difference between panren and seiyren? Both mean to "DO" 4. Is the "zha" a soft "ra" sound or is it softer (without rolling the rrrrrr)? Any and all HELP from you native/fluent speakers would be useful to me. Romba Romba Nandri!!
