Can someone recommend me a few budget hotels near IIT Chennai?

I am going to Chennai tomorrow for exam purposes and I am relatively a newbie to Chennai. I want to stay near to IIT Chennai (preferably walkable distance). Can someone recommend me the name of a few hotels in the nearby area?. Budget 600-1000. If I am not wrong, I will be arriving in Guindy via Chennai Metro.

check in THE CHECKERS hotel near to saidapet court.From there you can get auto just for RS.60 to land in IIT or lot of buses to IIT. If u don't prefer this then u have to move to adayar,but it will b quite costly.Don't hesitate to check Sulekha classified ,for your range hotels.Better u can try IIT campus guest house,if u can eligible to stay there.To my option there is no hotels nearby at a walkable distance.
