How Fast is a 2 Day Express?

How to reach express gardens,ambattur,chennai. Getting down at ch.cent, whr to stay decent (400-500) rent/day?

  • I am going to Chennai for 2 days. Should I get down at Chennai even though I have work at Express Gardens, Ambattur Indl Estate? Or do we have good hotels at Ambattur also? Pl. guide exact transportation methods without being cheated anywhere. And also, pl. help in locating which would be the best place to watch in 1 days time being at Chennai. What basically imporatant is - where to get down and from there where to go and stay and what transport

    If you get down at Chennai Central... You can get good accommodation in and around.Dont expect such facilities in ambattur. To reach ambattur(25-30 Mins) you go to sub Urban station(Electric Trains) the adjacent building to central. Go to Trains towards Arakonam Counter(There is another towards Gumidi-poondi) Take a "Ambattur Return" Ticket at the counter.Must cost you around 12 Rs.("Return" is because u dont need to take another ticket when you return from there)Valid for a day for up and down journey. After getting down you can get an auto to reach destination.(<30Rs). Follow the same to return. Go to beach to spend your day. Enjoy your stay!

You could alternatively stay in Anna Nagar or Nungambakkam, from where you can take a lot of regular city buses that cover the journey in less than an hour. While the trains go in a more deserted route (perfectly safe), buses go through the hustle-bustle of the city. These areas are much more livelier and posher for a 2-day stay than the dirty places around Chennai Central, and you could get good accomodation for around 500. Ambattur doesnt have much decent hotels.
