How are roads from Bangalore to Hyderabad?

Planning to drive from Bangalore to Hyderabad. How are the roads?

  • I want to drive from Bangalore to Hyderabad using NH7. Has the road been converted into a 4 lane? Any advice from people who have made this trip recently? Stops to make, places to eat etc will also help. Please let me know. Thanks.

    More than 70% of the road is 4-laned. Of the remaining 30%, large portions are 4-laned, but unmarked and with minor construction going on. You can sustain well over 120 on the completed portions - but need to be on the lookout for animals (including stray humans) Road portions near Kurnool are particularly bad. In a small hatch, once can cover the distance in 8-10 hrs - depending on driving style. There is one Kamat's restaurant at a BP fuel station about 60 kms out of Blr. There are 2-3 more 'Ghar Dhabha's @ BP fuel stations on the way. This has been my source of food for this journey. Cheers

the roads are pretty much ok and in good motorable condition......need not worry about restaurants or hotels.....has plenty............. but the highway gets worse once you are nearing hyd..just before 60-80 kms
