My personal one is shootit, which can be found under the games section. It's only use is a stress reducer but it about as much fun as a widget can get. For practical widgets, I certainly recommend News Stand for news and the Yahoo! Mail Checker. If you also have a lot going on and you need a daily planner, the Daily Planner calender is a very good widget to have. As already said, some to avoid are the chess games, they are so lame, and surprising the Lost clock which is annoying beyond belief. Finally a cool little widget to have if you like to use the computer at night but find that the screen is so bright it hurts your eyes, download Dimon tinted glass, a very nice widget that dims the screen at the click of a button.
