Is a provisional worker a contract or permanent worker?

As a permanent worker am i entitled to my weekly payslip and also a copy of my contract?

  • I work for a temporary fencing company, I signed a contract with the company and thinking it was like other companies i had previously worked for they would give me a copy. A few months went past and i realised i still had not recieved my copy and ask the administration staff if i could please have a copy, they said they would get back to me and later that morning i was singled out and given a written and verbal warning at our lunch break in front of all my fellow employees

  • Answer:

If they don't give you a contract to say that you are employed by them then I would remind them again failing that get in touch with the union. As for the verbal warning in front of everyone is bang out of order and I would take the matter further to Head Office of the company that you work for and put in a written complaint as they can't do anything until its written down they might not act on a verbal phone call. If none of that works Id get a new job

When you sign a contract of any form, you are always entitled to receive a copy. If all that is true, I would be looking for a way out of my contract and find a new job.
