How to cancel a pending transaction in paypal?

  • Hi, I tried to buy a laptop from lasky's using paypal. When i clicked on pay now it said payment unsucessful. then checked my mail and there was a £405.99 transaction sent to laskys but it is still pending after 5 day so how should i cancel this pending transaction and i tried to cancel the transaction on paypal but there was no cancel option. what do u think i should do contact paypal or laskys or my bank? pls hellppppp....................

    Go into your paypal into the transaction history. Once on the page with the transaction details there should be a cancel link. So I assume paypal used an echeck or instant payment method. If they did an instant payment method, that means paypal paid the retailer upfront and is now trying to withdraw the funds from your bank account...if so you are stuck..

Contact paypal about it. Also get a hold put on payment at your bank. May cost you a few dollars at the bank for hold charges. I know I put a hold on a check one time and cost me around $10.00 or something along that price. Not sure what it costs these days. May also give you a negative point on paypal unless explained to them why you put a hold on the transaction. I haven't dealt with paypal much. Good luck hope it turns out the best for you.
