Is Ebay a safe place to buy?

yes it is safe, but just to be even safer i would recommend setting up a pay-pal account so you can pay through that rather than giving your credit card details straight to the site.

Ebay is TYPICALLY pretty safe. Check the seller's feedback rating and make sure s/he is getting good reviews from past transactions and don't be afraid to ask questions if you think something is a bit dodgy. Any good ebay seller should be happy to oblige you and should answer questions with no hesitation. Be wary of sellers with no or negative feedback...and if something doesn't feel right about the seller, then DON'T bid. One important thing to keep in mind about ebay....a bid is a binding contract. As such, if you bid on something and win, YOU HAVE TO PAY!!! You can't change your mind later, so don't bid if you only "kinda" want something.....

Make sure you look at the seller information, and what their feedback is. I only buy from sellers with 90% or better seller feedback. Also, make sure you are familar with the return policies, so if the item isn't how you expected, you can return it!

yes. you should first go and set up an acocunt with paypal. you give them your info & they keep your card on file. If you pay for an item on ebay using paypal & it gets lost in the mail or you just dont get they will refund your money. I've been buying on ebay for some time now without any problems. My husband bought my Rebel xTi digital camera on ebay, brand new. we bought our travel trailer on there too. but i would go to paypal first so you can be protected. I've had a few issues, but with paypal account you do get your money back. my feedback score is only 338 with 100% positive feedbacks make sure you read their feedback left by other people too & that they have a good feedback score.
