How do I find the item number on a ebay item?

I bought an item from a seller on ebay, never received it and got a full refund from ebay?

  • they gave me a refund because the seller stop responding to my emails. i asked him for a tracking number and when he sent it to me, but he wouldn't respond, i asked him if he ever even sent it and then for a refund if he didn't. he also became an unregistered user on ebay. ebay gave me a refund after 20 days. the item JUST arrived. and i already got my refund from ebay - NOT the seller. the post office said it would be 30 dollars to return the item to the seller, i didn't really want it because it was supposed to be a gift. but bc of shipping, i decided to keep it. i contacted the seller, he still hasn't responded and its been two days. do you think ebay will find out that i got my item and take their money back? after all, they kinda owed me (well, the seller did) for having it sent to me now when it was supposed to arrive on jan 7th.

Ok, if he stopped responding to your emails, that's the sellers fault. He had time to respond BEFORE his money was taken back. If you had gotten an item before it was disputed, and wanted to return it, most sellers and/or paypal would require that you pay the return shipping, but then the seller would have to refund your full charges. I think it should work the same with sellers, when they act irresponsibly, they have to pay the consequences. When did he ship it? I would email him, say "I received it, and it's $30 to return it". You acted in good faith the first time around, it's not up to you to re pay for it. The seller may just tell you to keep it, if he does respond he should pay for the return shipping. Chances are he won't even respond, at which point it's not up to YOU to repay for it. Paypal will not make you repay, even if the seller contacts them and says you received it. If you don't need it anymore, as you bought another gift, I would tell the seller that. But HE pays the return shipping. He didn't get NARU'd because of just your claim, chances are he's had many, many violations. But you should at least attempt to contact him and offer to send it back, at his expense. And for the people that say "you should have refused it", I order from ebay all the tiem, and when I get a package, I usually have no idea what's in it until I open it. I also sell, and I know the very least a seller can do is respond to emails, 99% of the time I've had no problems. Oh, and make him pay the return shipping BEFORE you send it back, and send it with tracking/delivery confirmation.

ebay didn't refund you, paypal did. They took the money out of that seller's account. So really you need to contact paypal and tell them what happened. They should be able to resend the funds back into the seller's account from your account. Their number is 1-888-221-1161.

The seller got NARU'd (No Longer a Registered User) by eBay. Which means they were suspended for a given period of time such as 30 days or indefinitely, most likely for policy violations. Because he was NARU'd, he automatically lost the PayPal dispute/claim and your money was refunded. If you did not want the item you should have told the carrier that you refuse to accept it and they would have returned it to the seller at no cost to you. Since you decided to keep it you must now contact PayPal and repay for the item. If the seller used Delivery Confirmation or Tracking he can prove that you received the package (so can PayPal). To claim an item sent through the US Mail was not received or to not notify the shipper that it was after a claim was paid is considered Postal Fraud and is a federal crime. On a side note... You say the seller owed you. You got what he owed you, the package. So he no longer owes anything other than an apology for possibly late shipping. Check the shipping details on the eBay item page, did he ship when he was supposed to. Check the date on the shipping label against the type of service and the delivery date, maybe the PO delayed the package and the seller was not at fault. In any case, you kept the item so do the right thing and contact who you must to pay for it.
