Can I buy from Amazon in the UK?

Amazon: Can you buy things from amazon.ca if you live in the UK?

  • I'm trying to buy a book from amazon.ca which I cannot get anywhere else, Has anybody who lives in the UK been able to buy a book from amazon.ca? I tried, but it said the address was wrong, I checked it, its definitely right.

    In theory, yes you can buy from there. Was the book sold by amazon itself, or one of the independent traders? If you are having problems, on the page linked below, there is a 'contact us' button on the right hand side. If you try again and still no joy, contact amazon to see what the problem is.

You can buy anything from Amazon US if you live in the UK, but be aware that anything over £20 will be stopped by the UK Custom and Excise and you will have to pay a handing charge + 20% VAT which can work out very expensive.
