About the shipping and what certain shipping processes are?

How do you change the shipping method when BUYING from Ebay before you commit to buying?

  • Hello everyone. I want to buy an item from Ebay for the first time. The seller allows two different shipping methods: Expedited Shipping for $5.60 which is the default and Economy Shipping which is $2.41. I want to pay $2.41 for the economy shipping price. I don't mind if the item takes longer to get to me. However, when I click Buy It Now it says I need to pay Shipping and handling: $5.60 USPS Priority Mail Expedited Shipping. I don't want to click to commit to it before changing the shipping method. How do I change it to the other shipping method before I commit to buying this item? Is it possible? Thank you. :)

  • Answer:

When you get to the "Review Your Purchase" page there should be 2 options for shipping since that is the 2 options the seller chose...If it is not there you can click on Request Total from Seller which is on the same page right next to the seller's username...and in the message box state that you would like the Economy shipping... Or you ask them about it before you do buy now and who knows how long they will take to respond...I suggest not letting them send an invoice that is not from ebay, like a paypal invoice, some try to avoid ebay fees and you have no protection from ebay

Contact the seller and tell them you want to pay the economy shipping price. You can commit to buy without paying right away. Let the seller send a correct invoice to you and then pay.
