Ebay Why do people charge so much for shipping?

I know it is irratating, when you look up the item in question based on weight etc and you look it up on your local postal service to see how much it is actually to post it. I am one of those rare ebay sellers who post the extra money back to the buyer if I find the postage is cheaper.

Lots of dealers hope you will only pay attention to the item cost and not notice the shipping charge, therefore they try to make a little extra money off their customers. I always add up the costs and buy from whoever has a good rep and better value. I guess they view it as a handling charge for their effort, I agree with you.....shop from someone else!

i hate it to - so instead i judge an item by its TOTAL price. when selling - they dont have to pay a fee for the cost of the shipping - thats why they do it!
