How to I get my website listed with Yahoo?

  • Hi, I've created a website & done all the good stuff but after weeks of waiting I still can't get a Yahoo listing. The site sells natural jewellery, I've done quite a bit of SEO, good keywords + web design but still no listing. Can anyone give some advice please. The website is: www.bohocrafts.com Thanks guys

One thing you can do is get other sites that have content related to yours to post a back link to you. Yahoo will eventually take notice of this and include your site. Yahoo is regarded as the second most popular search engine, and it is quite some distance from the top choice, Google. I would suggest that you sign up for a Google webmaster account, so that you can then use their excellent Google Webmaster Tools (see link below). Google will tell you what it likes and doesn't like about your site. If Google doesn't like something (such as broken links, for example), there's a solid chance that Yahoo will rank you poorly also. If you optimize your site for Google, then you can be assured that the other search engines will follow.

A new site takes a while to get listed. Go to the yahoo.com homepage on the bottom of the homepage (real bottom) you will see a link that says submit you websites click it enter the website hit enter and it will help you get listed. You can do the same for other search engines just tip google add url in google and do the same, every engine works that way then they will monitor your website.
