For eBay, how do I delete an item that I am selling?

How can i cancel the winning of an item on ebay?

  • I bid on something that i didn't like as much as i thought i did by accident and i've been told i can't remove the bid. so all i could do is wait for someone to bid higher but no one did. so the time ran out and it said i had to pay. i clicked "my ebay". and there was a screen that says "buying reminders", "selling reminders" and "watching". under buying reminders it has the description of the item i purchased and says delete. if i delete it, will this make me not win the item? is there a way i can not win it and not pay?

    no, deleting it from your My Ebay will not negate the transaction. You are obligated to buy the item unless you can work something out with the seller. Some sellers will let you of the hook but some will not. I guess you could refuse to pay and risk being reported for being a non-paying bidder. That COULD lead to you losing your account. Most sellers dont look to highly on bidders with buyers remorse. So be prepared

Nope. When you bid on an item you enter a binding contract. You have to pay or you are breaking the contract and will risk negative feedback. However, you might try contacting the seller and telling them it was an accident. I would work with you were it me.

Deleting it just removes it from your list, not from the sales records of eBay. You can always cancel a bid. It's just a lengthy process. For now, go into help on eBay and fill in the blank with canceling a purchase. The page will walk you through the steps on how to cancel this sale.
