What's the best way to sell an item on ebay?

Is there a way I can sell this item on eBay?

  • I've been trying to sell an 80GB iPod on eBay, and about a week ago, someone won the auction at $115, but never paid. Several days later, I put it up for auction again and someone won at $109, but he hasn't bought or sold and item before and didn't pay the night of the sale so I'm worried that I won't get the money again. Is it fine to do a second chance offer this early?

    If you should encounter this sort of problem again file a dispute with ebay for non receipt of payment. A lot of bidders never pay for the item right away for many reasons. Send the buyer an invoice and let them know when you expect payment. Tell them if they cannot pay in 3, 7 or how many days that they need to let you know when payment will be made so you can mail them their item. A lot pf people buy and forget so it's up to you being the seller to tell them when payment should be made. List that on your auction page too.. When you send the invoice you can include a note to the buyer. mx

With eBay you have to give the buyer a certain amount of time to pay. Some take a few days to pay, some pay as soon as the auction ends, and then there's the ones that don't pay until you open an unpaid dispute on them. Regardless, it seems like you have a good selling item and you will get your money eventually. You can send them a reminder with the invoice or just email the buyer and tell them you have their item packaged and ready to be shipped as soon as payment is made. If they do not pay, open an unpaid dispute so that you can recoup your listing fees, final value fee.
